Anaheim Ducks Street Hockey

As is our tradition here at Davis Magnet School -- the Anaheim Ducks are partners with us in education.

Our Grade 4 students are fortunate to receive five, one-hour P.E. lessons with the Anaheim Ducks Street Team to learn all of the fundamentals of playing street hockey.

The Anaheim Ducks provide all of the equipment and expertise absolutely free of charge, thanks to the support of the Anaheim Ducks Foundation.

After the five weeks of street hockey instruction, approximately a dozen boys and girls from our 4th grade classes will have the opportunity to represent Davis Magnet School on our street hockey team as we plan to compete in the annual Anaheim Ducks Street Hockey Tournament held at the Honda Center in the spring.

Once again this year, our Grade 4 students will also have the opportunity to receive additional P.E. instruction from the Anaheim Ducks -- on the ice -- with all the gear -- head-to-toe -- provided by the Anaheim Ducks, at no charge, thanks to the Anaheim Ducks Foundation. Stay tuned for more details. Our Grade 4 students will make four trips to the Rinks Westminster Ice, plus all moms and dads will be invited to a culminating event on a Saturday in the spring (date to be determined) to watch your children play hockey at the rink and interact with Wild Wing and representatives of the Anaheim Ducks organization.
